POINTS AND REPUTATION / How it works.
As you interact with the community you earn points. And as the community interacts with you, you earn points as well. That's all well and dandy, but what does this mean?
What are points.
A.I. Points is the running currency on the community. Points can be used to purchase rewards which vary from Plugboxes on your profile page to goodies for your inventory that you can use.
What is reputation.
Reputation is essentially your "showoff status". Reputation is the amount of total accumulated A.I. Points. As you earn points you earn an equal amount of reputation. When you spend your A.I. Points on a reward, your reputation remains unchanged.
Earning points.
You earn points by getting views and feedback. Pretty much all activity on pages you own net you points. But of course, some activity grants you more than others. Below is a list of the most common activities and their corresponding points-reward:
Pageview
At ArtInvolved we call a unique visitor on your profile page (artistname.artinvolved.com) a Pageview. A pageview grants you 2 points.
Artwork view
A unique view on one of your artworks by a visitor is called an Artwork view and grants you 1 A.I. Point.
Artwork comments
Should you receive a comment on your artwork (good or bad) this will grant you 2 A.I. Points.
Favourites
Made a killer artwork that people add to their favourites? For every fav you receive 2 A.I. Points.
Other ways to make points and reputation
There are various other ways to gain A.I. Points and boost your rep. Every month there are several competitions you can participate in, and if you win, there's a big pot of points in it for you!
Spending your points!
By visiting the Rewards section you can see what rewards are currently available. If you have enough points for the reward you want you can purchase it, after which your Points total will be reducted by the indicated costs. Remember that your reputation won't decrease if you buy rewards.
